It seems as it fits family owned sushi spot! I ordered a combo plate that came with sushi, teriyaki chicken, rice, and a side salad. It was definitely worth it, would go again!
Food (4/5): Their fish has always been so fresh and quality. My favorite if the salmon and I love the striations on the fish, which indicates the quality of salmon. I like to get their nigiri but beware they do put wasabi in between the rice and fish. It's extremely potent for me so I usually scrape it off. The cuts are also quite large leaving me full with the 7 piece combo, roll, and miso soup. I love their different combinations where you could pair sushi with a bowl of your choice. It's a lot of food! They have bentos, rice plates, ramen, udon, and more. Service (5/5): the wait staff is very friendly and the food comes out fast! Ambiance (3/5): A small hole in the wall. It maybe has like 10 tables. Perfect place for a casual lunch or dinner. I noticed sushi island gets a lot of to go orders. Price (5/5): Relatively cheap prices for quality Japanese food!

This is indeed a hidden gem in a Gardena mini mall. Their two or three item combo are like a do it yourself bento box with a multitude of choices to pick from, including tempura, teriyaki, salmon and even sushi. All choices come with a small salad, miso soup and rice! Everything is freshly prepared and the service is always friendly. There are some tables to eat there too. We love this place

Super yummy chirashi bowl and island sashimi bowl! We came home for lunch with some friends that were visiting. They got a salad and combination B. Definitely coming back for more!
I usually get the 3 item combo. Tempura, nice and crispy. Chicken cutlet , sometimes the sesame chicken , sushi. Or I order a roll. Lots of food for the price. Not the best but good enough for me. I eat here several times a year. So a combo is delicious too
A little hidden gem. Quaint place with yummy food. We really enjoyed the unagi don and scallop roll. We got a crunchy roll and it was very tasty as well. We were the only ones eating in but lots of people coming in for takeout orders. Good place to checkout if you're nearby and craving sushi.
Love this place! Sushi here is amazing. I used to work in this plaza and the owners are the sweetest people on the planet! It's a family owned business so you know they put their all into what they make. It's always super inviting and clean when I come in. The locals love it as well and they utilize their indoor seating! You know they run a good business when they have a lot of regulars including myself!
